The Yuzenya Manifesto

True luxury is not excess. It is intention.

At Yuzenya, every detail has a purpose. Nature leads, technology quietly supports, and hospitality is present without intrusion.

Our ambition is to exceed expectations not through opulence, but through thoughtfulness, extraordinary quality and genuine care. We create the conditions for a quieter mind, a healthier body and a renewed appreciation for how beautiful life can feel when everything unnecessary falls away.

The Foundations

Three Transformative Experiences

Retreat
01

Retreat

Where your mind slows down.

Radical calm, thoughtful guidance and space to reconnect, never imposed, always inviting.

Nourishment
02

Nourishment

Where food becomes transformation.

Seasonal, local and alive: food as craftsmanship, discovery and an essential part of renewal.

Nature
03

Nature

Where the wild restores your body.

Norwegian friluftsliv, thermal recovery and outdoor rituals informed by modern science.

The Threshold

The Journey Begins Before You Arrive

We envision the Yuzenya journey beginning the moment guests leave Oslo Gardermoen. In the quiet comfort of a curated transfer, the noise of everyday life gradually gives way to forest, water and anticipation.

The final approach becomes a sensory threshold: a symbolic gate, a warm candlelit passage, subtle notes of pine, cedar, juniper and citrus, and low Scandinavian rhythms that draw guests into another pace of life. Then the landscape opens, revealing water, forest and sky.

Arrival at Yuzenya is not simply check-in. It is the first ritual.

Location

Close enough to reach.Far enough to transform.

Yuzenya is envisioned on a unique lakeside property near Kirkenær, Norway, surrounded by forest, open skies and uninterrupted views across the water.

Located approximately 100 kilometres from Oslo Airport Gardermoen, the retreat will feel deeply removed from everyday life while remaining accessible to international guests. Premium transfers and courtesy cars are being explored as part of the complete arrival experience.

The Experience

Days at Yuzenya

A day at Yuzenya begins with light moving across the water, the scent of the forest and the freedom to follow a rhythm that feels natural. There is structure, but never pressure. Movement, stillness, nourishment, learning and recovery flow into one another.

Every stay is shaped by three transformative experiences.

Retreat

01

Retreat

Where your mind slows down.

At Yuzenya, retreat is not a schedule to complete but a rhythm to enter. Silence is welcomed, time is allowed to slow, and every practice is offered without pressure.

Guided sessions, discreet hospitality and spaces shaped for reflection create the conditions for a quieter mind and a deeper connection with yourself. The programme offers direction without obligation, allowing each guest to find the balance between participation, solitude and rest.

Nourishment

02

Nourishment

Where food becomes transformation.

At Yuzenya, food is not an amenity. It is an essential part of the retreat experience and a pathway towards greater vitality.

Seasonal ingredients, local foraging, fermentation, fire and craftsmanship come together in meals designed to nourish, surprise and teach. Living cultures, sourdough, koji, miso, kefir and preserved Nordic ingredients are explored not as trends, but as part of a deeper relationship between food, health and place.

Through open kitchens, workshops and shared rituals, guests discover not only a different way of eating, but knowledge and practices they can carry home.

Nature

03

Nature

Where the wild restores your body.

The Norwegian landscape is our greatest teacher. Sauna, cold water, forests, fresh air and changing light are woven into daily life through breathwork, walking, kayaking, barefoot trails and quiet outdoor rituals.

Ancient Nordic practices meet modern wellbeing research, helping guests experience the restorative effects of nature in ways that feel both intuitive and tangible. Heat, cold, movement, daylight and sleep become part of a complete outdoor recovery ecosystem rather than isolated activities.

More than a reset

Leave restored. Return informed.

Yuzenya is designed not only to help guests feel different, but to help them understand why. Retreat programmes explore sleep, stress, breath, light, movement, thermal recovery, fermentation and nourishing food through practical experiences that can continue at home.

Where appropriate, guests may choose to gain insight into indicators such as sleep quality, HRV and resting heart rate, not to turn retreat into a laboratory, but to make recovery more tangible.

“We do not offer an escape from life. We reveal how beautiful life can feel when everything unnecessary is removed.”

Thoughtful by Design

Thoughtful by Design

The same philosophy shapes the place itself. Architecture follows the land rather than competing with it. Materials taken from the site are intended to remain within its circular system, finding new purpose in buildings, paths and landscape.

Renewable energy, responsible heating and discreet technology will support comfort without demanding attention.

Every investment, from a cabin to a door handle, is measured against one question: does it deepen Retreat, Nourishment or Nature, and does it help us exceed the guest's expectations?

Investment Opportunity

Built for Meaning.Designed for Long-Term Value.

Yuzenya is currently in development, with the ambition of welcoming its first guests in 2028. The concept is being shaped at the intersection of wellness tourism, longevity, experiential hospitality, sustainable design and growing demand for meaningful travel in the Nordics.

This is not a concept built around more rooms. It is built around deeper value per guest: a distinctive retreat programme, transformative nourishment, memorable outdoor rituals and an experience guests can continue long after returning home.

We are exploring partnerships with aligned investors who share our ambition to create a new standard for thoughtful Nordic hospitality.
